Our weather has been unusual recently. Although we have had much less snow, it does seem to take longer for summer and hot weather to arrive. This summer was marked by several days with high winds and thunderstorms, which blew around many toys left in the yard. However, Tricia is starting to talk and is getting involved in more things.

Easter Sunday came on April 20, 2003. Cookie and Richard came over after church on Sunday to help us celebrate Easter. Here, Tita Cookie holds Tricia next to our island counter in the kitchen. Note the various Easter decorations Nancy has put there.
Where did the Easter Bunny hide those Easter Eggs? Tricia and Panjee are searching for Easter eggs around the family room. Tita Cookie is helping by carrying a pail for Tricia's eggs. Tito Richard offers suggestions while he checks his e-mail on the family room computer.

Cookie's birthday on May 11 fell on Mother's day. Hence we decided to have a combination birthday and mother's day party. Hence the reason for the birthday cake and presents. From left to right are Richard, Cookie, Panjee, and Tricia. Menchu is cut off at the far right of the photo.
Mid-June marked Town and Country Days in Polo. In addition to several special activities, our streets downtown were blocked up for a carnival and rides. Sunday, June 15 found the crew sitting on Mason Street in Polo waiting for the big parade to start. Left to right is Tricia, Nancy, Devon, Panjee and Devon's mom Stephanie.
Tricia really enjoyed the Town and Country Days parade. She enjoyed looking at all of the floats, Shriners with motorcycles, old cars, trucks and horses. But she also got excitied when she discovered that many them threw candy to the kids when passing. This photo was taken after the parade at the back of Menchu's van. Tricia is wearing a necklace which was given to her during the parade.
Menchu's birthday came on June 18 while we were away in Wisconsin. After returning, we celebrated at Ryan's Steak House in Sterling, Illinois. Here, the servers are singing Happy Birthday to Menchu.
Nancy has been putting various toys for Tricia and lawn furniture on the front lawn and in the back yard. Unfortunately, the high winds have made things difficult this summer. Here, Tricia peeks out of an inflatable play house and baby trampoline on the front lawn.
