September Photos and Wisconsin Dells

September was a busy month for travels for us. September 1 found us in Pennsylvania attending a Bus Bash. Nancy took charge of the ballots and Menchu came along to help. Panjee liked the swimming pool at the hotel and the game room. We enjoyed meeting old friends since Nancy now has several good friends in the bus industry.

Two weeks later, we left on a Friday evening after Panjee came home from school and drove north to Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. This was the third year in a row that we went to the seasonal War-za-wa Indian celebration in the Dells that includes a huge flea market. Once again, Menchu came along to help. I finally managed to perfect my route down the back roads and we set a new record of two hours and 35 minutes returning on Sunday.  Both Tricia and Panjee liked the flea market. However, they were both more impressed with the hotel swimming pools. We stayed at the Howard Johnson which is still the Antiqua Bay Waterpark and was formerly the Holiday Inn. It has four swimming pools including a really nice indoor pool for kids.

On September 29, Nancy, Tricia and myself will leave for Hutchinson, Kansas to attend a Family Motor Coach Association convention. I will also be in charge of moderating a seminar. We will be gone most of the week. We will have a laptop computer with us and with any luck we may be able to get on line to check our e-mail.

Following are the photos that Nancy picked for September. Please take time to send e-mail to the girls. Both Menchu and Cookie still have their old e-mail addresses. You can also send e-mail to Nancy at the address shown at the bottom of this page. She loves to get e-mail. Please send her a note and tell her that you saw these photos.

One of Tricia's favorite toys is this big bag of balls. It came from Joe and presumably was used by Devon when he was smaller. One of the first words that Tricia learned to say was "Ball."  01
Here is a nice photo of three of my girls. This was taken in our living room shortly after we returned from Pennsylvania. The original is a color slide. Little Tricia is showing off her six teeth. She often asks for food off of our kitchen table instead of her own baby food. Tricia is also very fond of mashed potatoes, ice cream and soup.

Panjee is in fourth grade this year and attends Centennial School here in Polo. She also started piano lessons again in September. Her latest new activity is listening to music on her new portable CD walkman. Richard may have been an influence because he has been downloading MP3 files from the internet and sending audio files across the internet.

This photo of Tricia in her stroller was taken in Wisconsin Dells during the flea market. Tricia enjoyed looking at the people and all of the things for sale. We did get a little rain but Nancy had a plastic cover for the stroller so Tricia was warm and dry inside. 03
Tricia shows off her inflatable floater and Panjee shows her shark fin headpiece and goggles at the indoor swimming pool at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Wisconsin Dells. Panjee got brave enough to go down the water slide. Tricia probably would have followed her if she walked better. 04
A lot of little kids are afraid of the water. But Tricia really enjoyed herself. She liked these water spouts which squirted up out of the pool. She kept asking me to bring her from one water spout to the next so she could touch them with her hands. 05
Here are the girls at the indoor pool at the Howard Johnson hotel in Wisconsin Dells. Tricia did not want to get out of her floater but wanted to stay in the pool. Menchu joined Panjee and myself in the water and pushed Tricia around for a while. Nancy was content to sit and watch. We will have to take Tricia to more swimming pools in the future. 06
