Joan Corneta, a former classmate of Jong, the brother of Nancy, Cookie and Menchu, joined us on Tuesday evening. Joan lives in Florida, is a nursing student, and is working on getting Jong a visa so he can come to the United States and they can get married.

Joan took us to this Gulf Coast beach on Siesta Key on Wednesday, June 5. From left to right is Nancy, Panjee, Menchu with Tricia, Joan, Richard and Cookie.

On Wednesday evening, my cousin Richard and his wife Arlene came to visit us. Richard worked for the City of Chicago until his retirement and move to Florida several years ago. He brought along an interesting scrapbook with some family history.

Here, Richard and Arlene pose with the famous lego monster at Downtown Disney. We stopped for dinner nearby at Fulton's Crab House which looks like a riverboat.

On Thursday morning we all went to Gatorland on the south side of Orlando. We enjoyed seeing several shows with gators, snakes and other creatures.

After watching this guy wrestle alligators, Panjee volunteered to step into the ring and try her hand with wrestling the gators. She seems to be doing fairly well. Yes, that is a real live alligator. You will note that I let Panjee show off while I held the camera.

Joan remained with us on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On Thursday night we went to Arabian Nights which is a really nice dinner show. Cookie took this photo of us just before we went in. From left to right: Menchu, Nancy holding Tricia, Larry, Panjee, Joan and Richard. 12.jpg
Friday was our last day in Florida for this trip. After considering several alternatives, we decided to visit the Kennedy Space Center on Florida's ocean coast. We took the bus tour and got to see the launch pad for the shuttle which took off on Wednesday as well as the building with the huge Saturn rocket.

There was a light rain when this photo was taken of our group near some rocket ships near the entrance. From left to right: Richard, Cookie, Menchu with Tricia in her stroller, Nancy, Panjee and Joan.

On Friday night, Ariel, a family friend and Nancy's old schoolmate came to visit. He is now a nurse working in Florida. This photo was taken in one of our two hotel rooms. Left to right: Ariel, Panjee, Menchu, Nancy, Cookie and Richard. 14.jpg
We left Florida early on Saturday morning and drove all the way to Nashville, Tennessee, arriving there about dinner time. We spent the night at Opryland which is the largest non-gambling hotel in the United States. This photo was taken in their new Delta section which is indoors but has rooms overlooking a river and an island with shops and restaurants.

This digital photo of our group was taken just as we were about to board a riverboat for a ride around the Delta River. From left to right: Richard beneath Tricia and Cookie, Menchu, Panjee, Nancy and Larry.

This photo was taken from the boat while we got a guided tour of Delta River at Opryland. In the background is one of three waterfalls which flow into the river. Remember, this is all indoors.

Left to right: Nancy, Cookie, Richard, Menchu and Tricia. Panjee decided to sit on the other side of the boat.
