Panjee's Birthday Page

With Christmas and Birthday Gifts

For her 8th birthday on Saturday, January 6, Panjee requested that we take her to lunch at the King Buffet Chinese Restaurant in Sterling, Illinois. Sarah, Brooke and Chris joined Panjee, Nancy and Larry there. Later we went back to the house where Panjee was given a few birthday gifts.

These photos were taken on Sunday morning, January 7, shortly after we returned from 9:30 Mass. These are for all of Panjee's friends who could not be here to celebrate her birthday with her. Don't forget to send an e-mail to Nancy.

Taken in Panjee's bedroom, this photo shows most of the presents she received for Christmas and her birthday. Pretty soon we will have to get her a bigger bedroom or move her toys to another room. Note the Barbie stickers that Nancy put on the wall behind Panjee. Christmas Program
This photo of Panjee and her two dogs was taken in our master bedroom. The stuffed Dalmatian in the right is Nancy's birthday present to Panjee, who promptly named him Johnny after the pet Dalmatian she had in the Philippines. Of course, on the right is Dawg who is showing off her new blue dog license. Panjee is one of Dawg's best friends because she pets Dawg and talks to her. Santa
Here is Panjee with two of the toys she got for Christmas. On her lap is a toy computer given by Brooke, Chris and David. Panjee really likes this. It is not only interactive but also has a mouse. On the right is her Light Bright from Santa Claus which lights up pieces of colored plastic. Panjee and Dawg
Nancy feels like a Señora with her large master bedroom. David gave her this nice computer desk, I gave her the new chair, and Chris fixed up the computer. Now she has her own computer in the master bedroom to answer e-mail and to check out the headlines in the Philippine Inquirer.
Here is Panjee with the gifts she received on her birthday. From left to right is Johnny the stuffed Dalmatian from Nancy. The Origami kit came from Brooke and Chris. The Disney Anastasia video tape came from Sarah and the doll house came from Daddy Larry.
Two girls and two dogs. This is the other side of the master bedroom opposite the computer desk. That is my nightstand over in the corner. Dawg seems to like getting into pictures but she has become a very good friend to Nancy and Panjee.
Daddy Larry and Panjee in our master bedroom. This photo shows some of Nancy's decoration work to make out house look more like a home. Nancy likes sunflowers so she put those artificial flowers just below the crucifix on the wall. Nancy also put the little tree in the corner.
Panjee with her kitchen set. This incorporates several things including a sink, microwave oven, washing machine and even an ironing board. It also comes with all kinds of cooking utensils. Panjee seems to like this a lot but it took Daddy Larry a while to put it together.
